Book Review: The Last Flight by Julie Clark

The Last Flight by Julie Clark

The Last Flight by Julie Clark (TW: physical & emotional abuse, drugs, etc. Read at your own risk.)

Synopsis: Claire and Eva are both looking for an escape from their current situations. Claire from her abusive husband while Eva from a dangerous lifestyle. An encounter at the airport gave them a chance of a lifetime. They've hatched a plan to switch their plane tickets, coats, purses, etc. Claire become Eva and Eva become Claire. It seemed like a good plan for both of them.

But something happened no one expect, the flight that Eva took that supposed to be Claire's goes down and crashed into the ocean. Now, Claire is positive that someone wants her dead, but to become Eva has its own consequences too that she doesn't know yet. Consequences that Eva have been running from in the first place.

My review: I like this book. Claire had been planning her escape from her abusive husband for a year and the time has come to do it. On the other hand, Eva's life was a little bit sad for me. She was in foster care and though she finished college she still met the wrong people which made her life very vulnerable to abuse and who knows what.

The Last Flight is very engaging, I cannot put it down. Definitely recommend and it's definitely a page-turner!

My rating: 4/5
