Reading Rush Challenge 2020

I got this challenge from siobhanlovesfilm on Tumblr. I’m not tagged or anything but this seemed fun.

1. Read a book with a cover that matches the colour of your birth stone.

I was born in May, so my birthstone is emerald and the closest book that I have that has a green cover is Denis Ever After by Tony Abbott.

2.  Read a book that starts with the word “The”.

The Other Woman by Sandie Jones. I really want to read this one.

3.  Read a book that inspired a movie you’ve already seen.

My all-time favourite movie is the Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien and I must admit that I haven’t read The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King yet.

4.  Read the first book you touch.

Ok, this one was hard to do lol. For this one I closed my eyes, walked towards my bookshelf and I ended up touching Looking for Alaska by John Green. This book was on top of my TBR list for years. I can’t just finish reading it, I don’t know why. Hopefully this year, I will be able to though.

5. Read a book completely outside of your house.

I’m planning to read Liane Moriarty’s the Husband’s Secret this weekend. We are visiting a friend and I'm going to bring this book for the two hour car ride.

6.  Read a book in a genre that you’ve always wanted to read more of.

I’ve always wanted to read more non-fiction books if possible and the one that I have always wanted to read is ‘Outliers' by Malcolm Gladwell.

7. Read a book that takes place on a different continent than where you live.

The Mammoth Book of Celtic Myths and Legends by Peter Berresford Ellis. I had this book for a while now and I have read the story about the Princess of Formori which is from Scotland. This book is a collection of stories from different parts of the UK.

That was fun! If you'd like to do this challenge, please do and tagged me so that I can read your answers. I'm new to Blogger and I would love to meet more blogging friends here.

Thanks:)
